Start with the screen layout. The buttons for ordering are always on the right and your customer ticket (large and easy to see) is always on the left. This is because most people are right handed and expect to place the order that way.

Color Grouping for Ingredients - Quickly identify like items within any menu!
Everything about taking orders inside of SP-1 is designed for speed and quick recognition of menu items for your employees. As yet another example of what we mean by "Zero Training" is the ability for you to group your menu items into logical groups and color code them. Now, on top of having a photo quality picture for your modifiers (Sauces, Cheeses, etc.), you can highlight those different groups with colors – For example, all the sauces can be highlighted one color and the cheeses in another color. Do you have items that are ordered more than others? You could group those in Red for faster identification and ordering! This helps with finding that right item on the fly.
